Alwena, sailing yacht with professional skipper
Alwena is a 3-cabin version Bavaria 36 Cruiser built in 2004.
This sailing yacht is ideal for cruising and training; it is robust, comfortable, and high-performing.
Over the last 3 years, extensive safety work, modernization, and equipment upgrades have been carried out. In early 2024, following an inspection by the Brest Ship Safety Center, Alwena was granted its NUC (Commercial Use Vessel) navigation permit by the Maritime Affairs in the 3rd international category (GMDSS Area A1).

To facilitate learning and ensure more comfort on board, the number of passengers is limited to 5 for day trips and 4 for longer voyages. This way, each passenger has their own berth and storage in a spacious cabin equipped with blackout blinds.

No one sleeps in the saloon.
Its 2021 sail wardrobe consists of a fully battened mainsail with 2 automatic reefing points, a furling genoa, a reefable solent on a removable forestay, an asymmetric spinnaker on a bowsprit, and a storm jib.

The navigation equipment is very comprehensive: paper charts, almanac, Portland and Cras plotters, tide curves, bearing compass, sextant, OpenCPN or qtVlm chartplotters, AIS transponder…
Thanks to the AIS transponder, your loved ones can follow the yacht’s progress.

The navigation system, connected to the log/speedometer, thermometer, depth sounder, wind vane, anemometer, GNSS receiver, and AIS, manages a very reliable and quiet autopilot attached to the rudder stock.
At anchor, an electric windlass makes operations easier, and a motorized inflatable dinghy allows you to reach the shore easily and quickly.
For your safety, Alwena is equipped with an offshore life raft (over 24 hours), 2 fixed and portable DSC VHF radios, an EPIRB-GNSS-AIS beacon, lightweight automatic 165N life jackets, and lifelines.
The galley is equipped with a 3-burner gas stove with an oven and a refrigerator.
To protect the marine environment, the head is equipped with a holding tank.
Access for swimming is via the ladder attached to the transom, and you can shower immediately after with hot water thanks to the deck shower. However, to save water, showers are preferably taken at the port.
A sprayhood protects you from the wind and bad weather.

Finally, a cockpit table allows you to enjoy meals while taking in the scenery.
