Coastal and Offshore Skipper (Practical)

The aim of this skipper training course in Brittany is to teach the skills and techniques required to safely skipper a cruising sailboat from 7 metres waterline length to 15 metres overall length, on coastal and offshore passages, by day and by night. Students will gain practice in planning and skippering longer passages with a significant number of night hours where watch-keeping rotas become relevant.

Duration: 5 days

Recommended minimum age: 17 years old

Recommended experience: 15 days at sea, 300 NM, 8 hours of night sailing, 2 days as skipper
